Navigating in 4Next

4Next has two levels of navigation: at the application, which allows you to switch from 

Application menu

The application menu options display in the dark blue bar at the top of 4Next. The options you see are determined by your authorizations. You can select an application menu option at any time, unless you have a popup open (for example, when you're sending a message).

Your menu

The your name    menu on the right includes: 

  • Profile - your user name, full name, and your name as it appears on referrals; your contact information; your notifications
  • Preferences - the MyList filter setup for each of your sites (Referrals Received only)
  • Contact Us
  • Logout

Case views

When you have a case open in 4Next, there are four views available.

  • The default view for a case that is already open is the Summary. (As shown, when a view is open, the button is blue and gold.)
  • To open the summary from another view, click Summary.
  • Click Manage to add a need, search for providers, send and manage referrals.
  • Click Details to view clinical documents and add attachments.
  • Click Communicate to view all messages for the case, and to send a message to one or more providers at a time.

Referral provider views and forms

From the receiving side, when you have a referral open in 4Next, you can toggle between the tow views by clicking details from the management view or manage from the details view.

Mass General Brigham forms are accessed from the referral details.

  • Click pre-admission assessment for Mass General Brigham Home Care and other home care providers. 
  • Click screening form for Spaulding sites, and other RH, SNF, and LTAC sites..
  • To return to the referral, click details.
